Where our revenue comes from
Store subscriptions
Stores can pay for a plan that adds tools: verification checks, offers on their profile, traffic analytics and growth recommendations. See the plans.
Sponsored listings
Stores and other businesses can pay for a placement in a marked slot, such as the top of a directory page. Every one is labelled Sponsored, sits apart from the organic results, and does not move any store up or down those results.
Affiliate commissions
Some links to partner businesses earn us a commission if you buy. Commission never decides which stores we list or how they rank. See our affiliate disclosure.
Advertising
We may show advertising, always marked as such. See our advertising policy.
How we keep ratings independent
Our scores are calculated by code that cannot see whether a store pays us. It has no access to subscriptions, invoices, sponsored campaigns or affiliate arrangements, and automated tests fail the build if that ever changes.
Reviews are moderated against published rules. A store on any plan, including a free one, can reply publicly to a review; no store can edit, hide or remove one. We remove a review only when it breaks our review guidelines, whoever it is about.
Organic lists are ordered by the criteria shown on each page. Paid placements appear only in their own labelled slots.
“Claimed” means someone has proved they run the store. “Verified” means our reviewers checked information about the business; it is not an endorsement of the store or its products. A store that pays for verification checks and does not pass them is not shown as Verified.
