Review policy

Who can review a supplier on PepFinder, what a review must contain, how reviews are moderated, and why suppliers can never remove them.

Who can write a review

Anyone with a confirmed email address who has bought from the supplier. One review per supplier per person; you can edit yours afterwards from your account. Staff accounts and accounts linked to any supplier cannot write reviews.

What a review should contain

Your own experience of ordering: selection, price, delivery, payment, support, the website and packaging, whether the order arrived and whether you would order again. Reviews must not give medical advice or describe personal use of a product, must not include anyone’s personal information, and must not be written in exchange for payment, discounts or free products.

Moderation

Every review is checked before it is published, with automated checks for spam and duplicates and a person making the decision. We reject reviews that break these rules, not reviews that are negative. A rejected review is not deleted, and the policy reason for the decision is recorded.

Suppliers cannot remove reviews

A supplier can reply publicly to a review and can report one it believes breaks this policy, like any reader. It cannot edit, hide or remove a review, and paying for a plan changes nothing. Reports are decided by our team against this policy alone.

Proof of purchase

Reviewers can attach evidence of an order. Evidence is seen only by our moderators, is used to mark a review as a verified purchase, and is not published.

How reviews are used

Approved reviews feed the customer rating and the category ratings in the PepFinder rating, with a minimum number of reviews before reviews alone can decide a category. Read the latest on the reviews page.
