Verification policy
What verification checks
Verification confirms a supplier’s business identity and documentation: for example company registration, control of its domain, published policies and published testing documents, depending on the level. The exact scope checked is shown on each verified profile. Full details are on the verification page.
What it does not mean
Verification is not an endorsement and says nothing about whether a product is safe, pure or suitable for any use. We describe it only as “Business and documentation verified”.
Duration and withdrawal
Verification expires and must be renewed. It can be suspended or withdrawn if the information we checked changes, a regulator acts against the supplier, or the supplier misrepresents its verification.
Independence
Verification does not change a supplier’s ratings or ranking position. See the list of verified suppliers.
