Adipotide is an experimental peptidomimetic designed to kill the blood vessels that supply white fat, causing the fat to shrink. It produced rapid weight loss in obese mice in 2004 and in obese monkeys in 2011, at the cost of reversible kidney damage, and the only human trial, in prostate cancer patients, was terminated after enrolling four people. It has never been tested for weight loss in humans, no company is developing it for obesity that we could find, and it is not an approved medicine anywhere; a vial sold online as a “research” product is unlicensed material. Most research peptides are sold as freeze-dried (lyophilised) powder in sealed vials, which is mixed with a diluent such as bacteriostatic water before use in the lab. Some suppliers also sell pre-mixed solutions, nasal sprays or capsules under the same name. These are different products with different stability and dosing, so compare price per mg only between the same form, and check which form a listing is before comparing it with the rest of the table.

Ask for a certificate of analysis for the batch being sold, and check that it names the laboratory, the batch number and the test date, and that it confirms identity by mass spectrometry as well as purity by HPLC.
