AHK-Cu is a copper complex of the tripeptide alanyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine, sold as a cosmetic and research ingredient for hair growth. It is a close relative of GHK-Cu, the copper peptide found in human plasma, but unlike GHK it does not occur naturally in the body and has far less research behind it. The published evidence amounts to one laboratory study on cultured human hair follicles and dermal papilla cells; there are no animal or human studies of AHK-Cu, and none of injecting it. Most research peptides are sold as freeze-dried (lyophilised) powder in sealed vials, which is mixed with a diluent such as bacteriostatic water before use in the lab. Some suppliers also sell pre-mixed solutions, nasal sprays or capsules under the same name. These are different products with different stability and dosing, so compare price per mg only between the same form, and check which form a listing is before comparing it with the rest of the table.

Ask for a certificate of analysis for the batch being sold, and check that it names the laboratory, the batch number and the test date, and that it confirms identity by mass spectrometry as well as purity by HPLC.
