Dihexa (PNB-0408) is a small synthetic molecule derived from the hormone angiotensin IV, designed at Washington State University to survive digestion and cross the blood-brain barrier. In rats it reversed drug-induced and age-related memory deficits, and its developers proposed that it works by activating the hepatocyte growth factor receptor. Two of the key papers behind that mechanism were retracted in 2025 for falsified data, no human study has ever been published, and the US FDA has said it has no human exposure data for the compound. Most research peptides are sold as freeze-dried (lyophilised) powder in sealed vials, which is mixed with a diluent such as bacteriostatic water before use in the lab. Some suppliers also sell pre-mixed solutions, nasal sprays or capsules under the same name. These are different products with different stability and dosing, so compare price per mg only between the same form, and check which form a listing is before comparing it with the rest of the table.
