What 5-Amino-1MQ is

5-amino-1MQ is a small synthetic molecule, not a peptide, that blocks an enzyme called nicotinamide N-methyltransferase (NNMT). In obese mice it reduced body weight and fat without lowering food intake, and in old mice it improved muscle regeneration and grip strength.
