Chonluten is the trade name of the synthetic tripeptide Glu-Asp-Gly (EDG), one of the short bioregulator peptides developed by Vladimir Khavinson’s group at the St Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology and described by them as a bronchial and gastric peptide. Its published evidence consists of a handful of cell-culture and rat studies, almost all from that institute or its collaborators, and there are no human trials of chonluten.
